COVID-19 protocols

At Bloor Yonge Chiropractic we are committed to doing our part to stop the spread of Covid-19 in our community and continue to implement the Health Sector specific guidelines in our clinic.

Our Protocols

What changes did we implement to keep our patients safe?
Pre-screening

All patients are pre-screened for COVID-19 symptoms or exposure to anyone with confirmed or probable/suspected case of COVID-19 before they attend the clinic premises. Screening log is accurately updated and maintained. Staff is pre-screened before each shift for COVID-19 symptoms or exposure to anyone with confirmed or probable/suspected case of COVID-19. COVID-19 signage is displayed throughout the clinic in visible places

Physical Distancing

In order to accommodate physical distancing, we have changed our scheduling timeslots to avoid crowding in the waiting area.


Sitting rearrangements have been made to keep 2 meters distance between patients waiting for their appointments.


In order to limit the number of people on the premises, we kindly ask our patients not to be accompanied by another person while attending the clinic unless necessary. The person accompanying the patient should wait outside the clinic premises.

Glass Shields

Glass shields have been installed in the reception area to provide extra protection for our patients and staff

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

All practitioners wear PPE as per Ministry of Health and Public Health Ontario regulations and guidelines of their respective governing bodies. All patients and visitors require wearing masks or other face coverings as per City of Toronto by-law. Masks are available for purchase if required.

Cleaning

Clinic premises are frequently cleaned. All surfaces in the high traffic areas are disinfected throughout the day. All surfaces and tools in the treatment rooms are disinfected after every patient. We use only medical grade Health Canada approved cleaning products and disinfectants to ensure the utmost safety for our patients.

Contactless Payment Methods

We encourage our patients to use contactless methods of payment such as credit or debit cards, mobile payment apps or e-transfers. Payment terminal accepts tap payments up to the allowed limit. All receipts are available in the electronic format and can be sent by email.

Paperless Patient Records

We have switched to paperless record keeping to avoid the exchange of writing materials between patients and staff. New patients require to fill out the Intake and Consent forms online prior to attending the clinic. Forms are sent via email after the first appointment in scheduled. Mandatory COVID-19 pre-screening forms are sent to patients via email prior to the appointment.

Hand Washing and Sanitizers

Hand sanitizers are provided in the reception area and throughout the clinic for patients’ and staff’s use. Hand-washing facility is available on the premises.
