Pain Management

Our Pain Management program is designed to treat all types of pain, including those that stem from muscular, skeletal-physiological and neurological disorders. The goal with pain management is to minimize it and provide patients with treatment and education to make them as comfortable as possible in their everyday lives.

Conditions Treated

A comprehensive Pain Management program may be beneficial for someone who:
  • Has had multiple surgeries to treat a condition, such as back or neck pain, with little success
  • Has a condition deemed not treatable through surgery
  • Has become heavily reliant on painkillers or other prescription medications

By effectively managing pain, one can improve their quality of sleep, reduce stress, and increase strength, energy levels and concentration, as well as resume exercise and hobbies.

Our Approach

At Bloor Yonge Chiropractic we take a multidisciplinary approach to pain management and provide therapeutic care to address a variety of challenges. We will develop a customized program plan suited to your individual needs. Depending on the plan, your treatment may include the following services:
  • Chiropractic

Relieves pain by resetting neural pathway activation, restoring joint and neural function through spinal manipulation and decompression techniques.

  • Acupuncture

Inserting fine needles to invigorate pressure points, which will release endorphins and restore neural function.

  • Physiotherapy

Tackles inflammation, stiffness and soreness by using a series of modalities and exercises to stimulate healing, reduce inflammation and re-educate muscular activation patterns.

  • Massage Therapy

Relaxes muscles and relieves pain-related stress using therapeutic massage techniques.

Our Process

Initial Assessment

Patients will undergo an initial assessment by our Clinic Director Dr. Igor Sapozhnikov, D.C. or Dr. Isaac Norman, D.C. to help determine the underlying cause of their pain symptoms. Patients will also undergo a physical and neurological assessment to determine which systems are involved. They will have an opportunity to discuss how the pain has impacted other areas like sleep, digestion or physical fitness.

Program Plan

Based on the assessment results, the Doctor will recommend a safe, individualized program plan that may include chiropractic care, physiotherapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, and/or other modes of therapy to facilitate successful symptom reduction and management.

Our team at Bloor Yonge Chiropractic is a well-rounded group of healthcare professionals that include Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, and Registered Massage Therapists.
